Aisling Bea

Aisling B a, born on 16 March, 1984 in Kildare Ireland. She has appeared on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, more popularly known as her stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984) is an Irish writer, actress and stand-up comic. After playing bits on a number of Irish and British television shows since 2009 Bea began her professional career as a stand-up comedian in 2011. In 2012, she started to regularly appear on sitcoms and sketch shows. In 2012, after she received an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA), she started to appear frequently in panel programs. From 2016 to 2017 she served as the team captain for 8 Out of 10 Cats and a regular contestant for the spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was born to Brian O'Sullivan, she is the mother of one sister called Sinead. In 2012 she was the second woman ever to be awarded the So You Think You Are Funny Award. She uses the surnamed Bea in honor of her deceased father. Aisling Claiodhnadh Sullivan was born 16 March 1984 at Kildare, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian is an equine doctor who took his own life when she was just three. Bea didn't learn how the death of her father occurred until she was thirteen. In honor of her dad, she adopted the stage-name Bea and in 2017, she wrote an article on suicides that affected her family for The Guardian. Bea as well as her older sister Sinead, were raised with Helen Moloney (n e Moloney), a former jockey and teacher at a secondary-school. The family was awed by horses, race meetings and racing. Bea was a child a tour guide for the Irish National Stud. From the age of a child, Bea knew that she was not interested in the racing industry. Instead she loved the artistic arts.
