Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film best known for her performances in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. She was the sole child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her professional career in the show business at an early age. At the age of 16, she turned sixteen, she had secured the leading roles in numerous TV dramas. She was praised for her portrayal as a character in Der Tunnel.
