Alexandra Maria Lara has been a German/Romanian television actress for over a decade. Alexandra is known for the roles she played on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her showbiz career from a young age. By the time she was 16, Alexandra had landed leading roles in several television dramas. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, on Downfall. This film received nominations for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial popularity. Additional Oscar nominated film starring the diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra worked on several notable national and international projects throughout her career. One of these is the British biographical film Control, the Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, and French historical mini-series Napoleon. The actress also served on the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
